Dr Stephen Muir interview, ‘People of Note’, Cape Town Fine Music Radio, 4 Sep 2017
People of Note is a flagship show on Fine Music Radio, the only classical and jazz music station in the Western Cape, and one of only very few in the whole of South Africa. Presented by celebrated classical music advocate Rodney Trudgeon, the programme features in-depth discussions with prominent local and international people from different fields, which include music, literature, theatre, dance, opera politics and economics. Each guests selects five of their favourite pieces of music to play.
I was interviewed by Rodney on 4 September 2017 in the run up to the ‘Out of the Shadows’ festival in Cape Town later the same month, and was able to disseminate aspects of the research that had led to the festival performances.
